The company was founded by Brian Abel on May 1, 1975, when Abel started doing small landscaping jobs while working alone out of a small garage. He soon hired Tom “Squint” Dilling and Steve Smith. They are still working with him today. The work force stands at about 15 in 2010. Snow Plowing raises it to about 25.

Our 50+ plus major pieces of equipment include semi tractors, quad axle and single-axle dump trucks, 4x4 rubber-tired loaders, bulldozers, tractor loader backhoes, grading tractors, skid steer loaders, trenchers, more than 20 trailers from semi to utility hydro seeders, and straw mulchers, and many attachments for the listed equipment.
Abel Landscaping provides lawn installation with hydro-mulch, traditional seeding, sodding, nursery stock, edging, Typar-cloth installation under stone, some 50 types of decorative stone and mulch, excavation, top soiling, stonework, walks, patios, retaining walls, construction of large ponds and snow removal.
